REGULATORY CHRISTMAS CLOSURE DATES 2025 - 2026

Please note the following statutory closures and processing timeframes at Ōtorohanga District Council over the Christmas period.

BUILDING CONTROL (BUILDING ACT 2004)The statutory processing clock will pause from Monday 22 December 2025 to Monday 12 January 2026.
• Applications submitted after 5pm Friday 19 December 2025 will not be accepted for lodgement until 9am Monday 12 January 2026.
• The final day for building inspections in 2025 is Friday 19 December 2025.

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PLANNING (RESOURCE MANAGEMENT ACT 1991)
The statutory processing clock will also pause from Monday 22 December 2025 to Monday 12 January 2026.
• Applications submitted after 5pm Friday 19 December 2025 will not be accepted for lodgement until 9am Monday 12 January 2026.

LGOIMA AND LIM REQUESTS
Under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, the processing clock for LGOIMA requests and LIM reports stops between Saturday 20 December 2025 and Saturday 10 January 2026.

Please plan ahead and allow extra time if submitting applications or requests during this period.
