Council has several functions relating to compliance and enforcement of our regulatory roles.  These span across a range of our operational areas, including building, planning, environmental health (noise, alcohol), roading, reserves, animal control, trade waste, and bylaws.

In addition, the Waikato Regional Council has regulatory functions that are often referred to ŌDC, along with other functions that ŌDC doesn’t manage such as animal welfare and litter on State Highways.  This can be a really complex area to navigate, so we have included a handy chart to help direct you to the right areas.
