  • Fabric - Charity shop (if dirty or not reusable place in refuse)
  • Fluorescent tubes - Mitre 10 (must not be broken)
  • Food/beverage container tetrapak type - Refuse (community collection point being investigated for future)
  • Food scraps - Compost (if unable to home compost place in refuse)
  • Furniture - Charity shop (if unable to be fixed take to Ōtorohanga Recycling Centre (fees apply))

  • Glass bottles, jars - Recycle (if broken wrap in newspaper and place in refuse)

  • Garden waste - District Recycling Centres (fees apply, excludes noxious and unmanageable material eg Flax)
  • Gas cylinders - District Recycling Centres (must be degassed, fees apply)
  • Glasses - Return to optometrist (if broken place in refuse wrapped in newspaper)

  • Household chemicals - Community Collection Event (see Community Events)

  • Ice cream containers 1, 2, 5  - Recycling (lids in refuse)
  • Iron (metal) - Local scrap dealer or District Recycling Centres (free)

  • Jug - District Recycling Centres (fees apply) or Waipa Urban Miners

  • Kettle - District Recycling Centres (fees apply) or Waipa Urban Miners

  • Lids - Refuse (community collection point being investigated for future) 
  • Light bulbs - Mitre 10 (if broken place in refuse, must be wrapped in newspaper)
