CHIPS GALLERY CONTEST: TAKE AWESOME PHOTOS. BE IN TO WIN!

We’re running a fun contest to celebrate photography in our community. Choose a theme – grandparents, animal friends or eating together, take a great photo then email it to us. You can enter images in all three themes. We welcome entries from everybody – children, teenagers and adults! Entries close July 31.  

For your photos, you can use a phone, digital camera or film camera. Photos must be taken in Ōtorohanga District.  If your photo includes people, please get their permission. Winners will receive a $50 food and drink voucher from the Village Green Bakery. Our warm thanks to the team at Village Green Bakery for supporting this contest.

We’ll judge entries in early August and contact the winners. Winning photos will be printed large (about 1 metre) and exhibited in a group show in the Village Green Bakery. Please make sure your photo is as high quality as possible (also known as high resolution). You may need to change your phone camera settings.

Email your entries to [email protected] and include:

• Your name
• Your age (if you’re under 18)
• Where in Ōtorohanga District your photo was taken
• A brief story behind your photo
• A photo title if you’d like to include one.

IMPORTANT: If your photo includes people, please confirm in your email that you have received their permission for the photo to be exhibited and shared on social media and our website. No – we won’t own your images (copyright remains with you), but we may share your images online to help promote the contest and will include your name.
