With the change to our new kerbside rubbish and recycling contract, we know there's been a lot of information to take in, and understandably, plenty of questions.
Changes to rubbish bag colours, different collection days for some households, new recycling crates, supermarket stock, and the fact that yellow bags are still being collected through a separate private service have all added to the confusion.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to call, email, visit us, or ask a question. Your feedback has helped us understand where more information is needed.
To make things easier, we've created a dedicated Kerbside Collection Changes FAQ covering the questions we're being asked most, including:
- Which rubbish bags should I use?
- What happens if I still have yellow bags?
- What day is my collection?
- How does the new recycling system work?
- Where can I buy red bags?
- Why has the price of Council rubbish bags changed?
- Why did Council change contractors?
You'll find all the answers here.
If you still can't find the answer you're looking for, please get in touch with us. We're here to help.
Thank you for your patience while everyone adjusts to the new service.
