RISING LEADER: NATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR CASSIDY TEMESE

Our Council Kaitakawaenga - Iwi Relations Advisor, Cassidy Temese, was honoured for their outstanding contribution to our communities at the LGFA Taituarā Local Government Excellence Awards. The award was sponsored by Lisa Hopa and Scott Summerfield of Hononga Consulting. Taituarā is Aotearoa New Zealand's leading membership network for professionals working in and for local government.  

Cassidy is recognised as a ‘Poumatua Ka Puāwai’ – a blossoming leader whose courage, authenticity, and commitment is already making a meaningful impact. They lead authentically as Māori.  As an emerging voice and advocate, Cassidy demonstrates strong promise as a navigator for change and champion for Māori communities.
