Once Upon a Mythical Read

“Once Upon a Mythical Read Winter Reading Challenge” running from 1^st July-29^th August 2026.

This winter travel through enchanted forests, magical kingdoms, dragon caves and mysterious lands – all though books.

Pop in and pick up a bingo booklet from the Otorohanga District Library or Kawhia Library from 24^th June with your mission to complete the reading activities on the bingo board and see how many squares you can fill before the end of winter. Visit library staff throughout the challenge to share your reading progress, collect small prizes, and celebrate your achievements.

Complete the entire bingo board and you'll be entered into our final prize draw!

Who can participate?
The challenge is open to all primary school-aged children.
