POUKAI AT WAIPAPA MARAE

Several representatives from Ōtorohanga District Council attended the Poukai at Waipapa Marae yesterday, with another group travelling to Maketū Marae today.

Waikato-Tainui Chief Executive Donna Flavell acknowledged the strong turnout from Ōtorohanga District Council and expressed appreciation for the commitment shown to the kaupapa.

Attendance at Poukai provides an important opportunity to strengthen relationships with Waikato-Tainui and to stand alongside iwi and communities as part of this long-standing and significant cultural gathering.
