Ōtorohanga District Council and roading contractors Inframax Construction Ltd will be busy over the next few weeks undertaking assessments of damage to roads, bridges and other infrastructure.

Please respect the road closures

We are receiving reports of the general public ignoring road closures and trying to travel through closed areas.

There are still lots of slips and flooding on many roads in our district.

Road users are not adhering to the road closures and are ignoring staff. Not only is this dangerous, but it puts our roading crews at risk. Please do not do this.

We are working with our roading contractors on getting an updated list of road closures and will share this as soon as possible.
