3D Print Quest Summer Reading Edition

This summer, imagination meets innovation at the local library with the launch of the 3D Print Quest: Summer Reading Edition — a programme designed to inspire young minds through reading, creativity, and technology.

The initiative invites children and teens to dive into books and complete a series of engaging reading challenges and activities. As participants progress, they earn points that can be redeemed for a custom 3D-printed model of their choice.

“Whether it’s a fire-breathing dragon, a futuristic spaceship, or a one-of-a-kind invention, kids can bring their ideas to life in a way that’s both educational and exciting” says Senior Library Assistant Gaylene Cumpstone.

The programme is open to readers of all ages and encourages exploration across genres and formats. Participants can track their progress through a simple point system, with extra credit for creativity and participation in library-hosted events.

At the heart of the programme is the opportunity to transform stories and ideas into tangible creations using 3D printing technology. The library’s 3D printer will be buzzing all summer long, turning digital designs into real-world keepsakes.

The 3D Print Quest runs from 1st December – 28th February. Race on down to the library, register from 1 December, and collect your pack.

It’s a hands-on way to celebrate imagination, learning, and innovation

Read. Earn. Print.
