PLANNED WATER MAIN FLUSHING ŌTO 19 MARCH - KĀWHIA 25 MARCH

As part of routine water network maintenance, bulk water main flushing will take place in Ōtorohanga on 19 March and Kāwhia on Wednesday 25 March 2026.

Work will be carried out in the morning and is expected to take a few hours.

What to expect
You may notice your tap water looks cloudy or discoloured during this time. This is temporary and caused by harmless sediment being flushed from the water mains.

If this happens

• Run your cold water tap for a few minutes until the water clears

• Avoid using hot water

• Avoid washing light coloured clothing until the water is clear
