Two of our Ōtorohanga public toilet facilities - at Jim Barker Memorial Playground and the Ōtorohanga Domain - are currently closed following fire damage last night.
The damage is being assessed today and the toilets will remain closed until cleaning and repairs are completed. Police and Fire and Emergency attended the incident and an investigation is underway.
All other public toilet facilities in town, including those at the Ōtorohanga Library, remain open and available for use.
We will provide an update as soon as more information is available.
