Right now, Ōtorohanga District has fewer than five candidates for 18 Council and Community Board positions. That means we need people like you to step up and make a difference.

If you’ve ever thought about having a voice at the decision making table, now is the time. Our community needs people with passion, fresh ideas, and local knowledge to help shape the future of our district.

Not sure what’s involved? Come along to one of our Candidate Information Evenings. You’ll hear from Chief Executive Tanya Winter, meet the Elections team, and get practical, honest insights about what being an elected member is really like. No pressure, just a chance to ask questions and see if this is for you.
