Successful Applicants Rural Travel Fund

RURAL TRAVEL FUND SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS MAY 2025

We are delighted to announce the successful applications for our Sport NZ Rural Travel Fund.

We know petrol is expensive- this fund helps towards travel expenses so our rural kids and teens can regularly participate in sports.

For this round we had a total of 7 applicants who requested a total of $14,387 and we had $7,866.25 available to allocate.

Lots of sports were included in the applications including rugby, football, mini-ball, netball, waka ama, hockey, and kickboxing!

Kio Kio School- $1,348.08

Ōtorohanga Football Club - $470

Ōtorohanga Rugby- $450

Ōtorohanga South School - $1,520.25

Ōtorohanga Sports Club- $1,100
