A member of our community recently took the amazing initiative of running open music sessions at the Kāwhia Hall every Wednesday. They received funding from the Kāwhia Community Board to pay for 15 weeks’ worth of hall hire, and five sessions of hireage were also kindly donated by another member of the community.
Every Wednesday at 10.30am there are a few musicians, a microphone set up for karaoke and heap of enthusiastic participants. These sessions are open to everyone, the more the merrier, so head on down and enjoy some good vibes and great company!
A massive thank you to everyone involved in making this initiative a success, this is a great example of a community coming together.
