A friendly reminder to all dog owners in Ōtorohanga District - it’s time to register your dogs for the 2025/26 registration year.

What does your dog registration pay for?

Your dog registration fees help keep our community safe. They fund important services like dog patrols, responding to aggressive or roaming dogs, maintaining the pound, reuniting lost pets with their owners, and supporting responsible dog ownership. Every registration helps protect people, pets, and property.

Registration reminders were sent out on 30 May 2025, please get in touch if you have not received yours.

Dog Control fees are as follows:

• Urban Dog: $162.00

• Urban + Neutered Dog: $127.00

• Urban + Special Owner Dog: $127.00

• Special Owner + Neutered Dog: $70.00

• Rural + Special Owner Dog: $70.00

Please ensure your dog is registered by 31 July 2025 to avoid late penalties (50% of the applicable fee).
