Ōtorohanga’s Top Dogs – And How You Could Win Your Rego Back!

Earlier this month, we shared the most popular dog names and breeds across the Ōtorohanga District, and your response was PAW-some!

Top names like Ruby, Max, and Jess are clearly local legends, with top breeds including Labrador Retrievers and Huntaways.

To keep the fun going, we’re excited to announce our "WIN YOUR DOG'S REGO BACK!" campaign, and your dog could be one of the lucky winners!

How it works:

1. Register your dog for the 2025 year by Wednesday 31 July
2. Head to our Facebook page and comment your dog’s name on the pinned post called "WIN YOUR DOG REGO BACK!"
3. You're in the draw to WIN!

Prizes up for grabs:

• 5x 1-year registration refunds
• 1x Grand Prize a 5-year credit for one lucky dog.

• Deadline to enter: 11:59pm, Wednesday 31 July
• Winners announced once all winners have been confirmed.
• You must comment on the original post, not a shared link.

Terms & Conditions 

• Entries close at 12pm, Thursday 1 August 2025.
• To be eligible, the dog must be fully registered for the 2025 registration year by 31 July 2025.
• One entry is allowed per registered dog. Multiple dogs per owner may be entered, but only one prize can be awarded per owner.
• The person entering the competition must be an owner of the dog.
• 5 winners will receive a refund equal to the winning dogs registration fee.
• 1 Grand Prize winner will receive a refund for the 2025 registration for the winning dog, and then 4 years of registration credit applied to future invoices.
• Winners will be drawn at random and announced on Facebook.
• Winners will be contacted via Facebook Messenger. If uncontactable within 2 business days, a redraw may occur.
• Refunds will be issued after registration verification. Credit prizes will be applied from the following year.
• Only applies to standard dog registrations.
