New chair appointed for Risk and Assurance Committee

Ōtorohanga District Council is delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Stubbs as Independent Chair of Council’s Risk and Assurance Committee.

The Risk and Assurance Committee assists Council to discharge its responsibilities for the robustness of the internal control framework, the strength of risk management systems, process and practices, the independence and adequacy of internal and external audit functions and, compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards and best practice guidelines

Peter brings nearly 30 years of continuous governance experience. Peter has worked at every level in a boardroom structure - as a board member, Deputy Chairman and Chairman.

Peter is currently the Chair of the Waikato Shared Services Group Co-Lab, and is also Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Waikato District Council.
