Decision to Close Roads - Ngutunui Sealed Rally Hill Climb

In accordance with the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that Ōtorohanga District Council, has made the decision to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic, for the purpose of allowing the Ngutunui Sealed Rally Hill Climb, for the period indicated hereunder:

SUNDAY 4TH MAY 2025

• Pekanui Road- form Ngutuniui Road to Okupata Road
• Scott Road

Period of Closures: 7.30 am to 4.00 pm

There will not be a detour in place

Access for emergency vehicles will be allowed in the event of an emergency.

Authorised public notification of the approved road closure before the event, as required by the Local Government Act 1974.

Event Information:

Road closure in place for the purposes holding the Hamilton Car Club, Tarmac Hill Climb.

An annual ‘race against the clock’ event held as a competition between the club members.

Main spectator point is located on corner of Scott Road, which has barriers and a manned warden with radio access.
