One thousand books? That seems like way too many, right? Not at all. You got this. It doesn't matter if your child is three, or just three months - there's no better time to start than now! 

You may have heard that reading plays a huge role in children's development, but do you know how? 

Studies show that the vocabulary of children who listen to their parents read to them is larger than children who don’t get reading time at all. There are undoubtedly various benefits to reading to your child.

Besides enhancing your child’s vocabulary, reading also helps them with learning how to write and read as well as understand different topics and how the world works.

Reading helps build social and emotional skills, sparks creativity and imagination, promotes bonding, and helps children do well overall in school. Take that motivation, open one book, and get started. And remember, 1000 is just a number. The goal is to work reading aloud into your regular routine and let the magic of stories do the rest.
