Nominate Your Road Safety Hero – and Win! 

Do you know a young person who always crosses at the crossing, wears their helmet, or reminds others to slow down near schools? Maybe they help younger tamariki cross the road safely, or set a great example for their mates when it comes to being smart around traffic?

As part of Road Safety Week, we want to celebrate these legends!

We're calling on you to nominate a Road Safety Hero between the ages of 5 and 18.

From all our awesome entries, we’ll be drawing one lucky winner to receive a Road Safety Hero Prize Pack just for them!

How to nominate:

To enter, simply send us:
✅ The young person’s name
✅ Their school or a way to contact them if they win
✅ A short reason why they are your Road Safety Hero

• Entries are open to kids aged 4–18 only
• Prize must be collected from our office
• Entries close 23rd May 2025 4pm

If you come in to Council office at 17 Maniapoto Street to nominate the nominate a Road Safety Hero, You will receive a FREE Flashing Road Safety Light – a fun, practical way to stay safe and be seen.
