Ōtorohanga District Council

Ōtorohanga District covers 1976 square kilometres of beauty, from the peaceful seaside towns of Kāwhia and Aotea in the west, to tranquil Lake Arapuni on the eastern boundary. There are two urban centres of Ōtorohanga and Kāwhia, surrounded by thriving rural communities.

Poukai 2024

A delegation of Council and staff attended the Poukai at both Aotearoa Pā and Maketū this month. As Council builds genuine partnership relations with Māori across the district, we will continue to attend and support this kaupapa.

Long Term Plan 2024 - 2034

Every three years Ōtorohanga District Council reviews its Long Term Plan. It sets out our major projects, budgets and financial strategy for the next 10 years. The current Long-Term Plan is for 2021-31. The next Long Term Plan will build upon our current plan and cover the period 2024-34.
