Buzzy Bee getting a revamp at the Menzshed

Our iconic Buzzy Bee is currently getting a much needed refurbishment from the team at the Menzshed, Ōtorohanga, ahead of the upcoming Long Term Plan 2021 – 2031 drop-in sessions.

Our Buzzy Bee hit the road back in late 2020 for ‘Ōtorohanga 2050’, for the early engagement phase of the Long Term Plan process. Feedback was gathered from the residents of Ōtorohanga District about what kind of future we want for our communities.

Now Buzzy Bee and the team are gearing up to head back out from 16 April to 17 May 2021 for ‘What’s the buzz Ōtorohanga? It’s time to talk!’ - the formal consultation phase of the plan.

“We are excited to present our vision and 10-year plan for the district to our residents” states Mayor Max Baxter “We had a high level of engagement through the pre-consultation phase, it was great to hear from so many passionate residents. We are looking forward to engaging with our communities about Council’s plan to move from austerity to vibrancy. We aspire to be a place where kiwi can fly - a dynamic, inclusive and unique district, and this plan is our tool to take us there.”
