CLOSURE OF ROADS TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC – STAGE 9, 10 & 11 OF TARGA RALLY 2023

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that for the purpose of, of allowing Club Targa NZ to hold Stage 9, 10 & 11 of the Targa Rally 2023,  the following roads will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder.

  • Mangare Road, 350m from its intersection with Rotongata Road to its intersection with Pukewhau Road, including its intersection with Landing Road.
  • Pukewhau Road, from its intersection with Mangare Road to finish 350m from its intersection with Waipapa Road.
  • Kahorekau Road, 200m from its intersection with Waipapa Road to its intersection with Aotearoa Road.
  • Aotearoa Road, from its intersection with Kahorekau Road to finish 350m from its intersection with Waipapa Road.
  • Bayley Road, 300 mtrs from its intersection with Seafund Road, to finish at its intersection with Ngaroma Road. Including its intersection with Loop Road. Hingaia Road and Wynyard Road
  • Ngaroma Road, from its intersection with Bayley Road, to finish at its intersection with Wairehi Road. Including its intersection with Tolley Road (no exit).
  • Wairehi Road, from its intersection with Ngaroma Road to finish 200 mtrs from its intersection with Waipapa Road. Including its intersection with Mangawhio Road, Waipari Road, Aotearoa Road, Taupaki Road and Lake Road.

Period of closure: Wednesday 25th October 2023 from 9.30am – 4.30pm

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised period to use the roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

During the road closure arrangements will be made for the passage of emergency vehicles if required.
