ODC BOIL WATER NOTICE: FRIDAY 29 JULY 2022

To all TIHIROA RWS users - Please BOIL YOUR WATER until further notice. We are having issues in the treatment process at the Tihiroa Water Treatment Plant. The Water Services Team is currently working on the issue. Thank you, Otorohanga District Council Water Services Team.

We will be conducting a mains flushing programme as part of our regular network maintenance.

Watermain renewal for Maniapoto Street, Ōtorohanga CBD

Ōtorohanga District Council has awarded Camex Civil the contract to complete water main renewals, with work starting in Maniapoto Street in early August.

Ōtorohanga District  Occupancy Policy Guidelines - your feedback is needed

Ōtorohanga District Council has recently approved a new DRAFT Ōtorohanga District Occupancy Policy (policy) and DRAFT Community Occupancy Guidelines (guidelines) and we’d love to see your feedback.

The policy sets out the framework for decision-making regarding occupancy agreements for all council-owned properties, including community groups occupying council community property and the guidelines provide direction for the implementation of the policy.  To find out more about the policy click here [PDF 986 KB] and guidelines click here. Ōtorohanga and Waipā councils approve Joint Contract [PDF 101 KB]

Ōtorohanga District Council and Waipā District Council have approved a joint watermain renewals contract which aims to save ratepayers’ money on water services delivered across the two districts.

To allow Club Targa Inc to hold the Targa Bambina 2022 motoring event, we will close some roads to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period of the event.

Kāwhia wastewater needs assessment - Property Survey commencing March 15 2022

From 15 March a survey of 100 properties across Kāwhia will be undertaken to help build a picture of overall septic
tank performance in the community.
