Works camp proposal - explanation of process

Otorohanga District Council has received a proposal from CPB Contractors to establish a temporary workers camp on an area of Council controlled land at the Island Reserve.


Otorohanga water treatment plant pipe replacement

Our Water Services Team will be replacing the piping system for raw water, treated water and backwash at the Otorohanga water treatment plant, which will affect the Waipa Rural Water Supply.

Proposed amendment of Traffic Bylaw 2005

There have in recent times been continuing complaints regarding vehicles parking for long periods of time in the central areas of both Otorohanga and Kawhia.


Otorohanga stopbank pathway - drop in sessions

We are constructing a 3.5 km shared pathway along the top of the Otorohanga stopbanks on the town side of the Waipa river and we want to hear from you.  We are holding two informal drop-in sessions to provide our community with the opportunity to give us their ideas and feedback in relation to this project.

Review of representation of arrangements for the 2019 local elections

On 26 June 2018 the Otorohanga District Council reviewed its representation arrangements, and resolved that the following proposal apply for the Council and its community boards for the elections to be held on 12 October 2019.

Safe speed camera

Recently, a new safe speed camera was installed on State Highway 3 Otorohanga Road, just before Roberts Road heading north.

Public notification of proposal to grant lease of Otorohanga Motor Camp

Pursuant to Section 54 (2) of the Reserves Act 1977, public notice is hereby given of Council’s proposal to grant a lease of that part of the Otorohanga Domain containing the Otorohanga Motor Camp, formerly operating as Camp Kiwi, to Ms Tasha Smith for a term of 3 years with a further 2 year right of renewal.
