25. ENGINE BRAKING RESTRICTIONS - No person shall use engine braking as a method of slowing down within either the “Otorohanga Community” or “the Kawhia Community”.
26. ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS - The enforcement of the provisions of this Bylaw may be carried out by either Police Officers, on behalf of the Council, or where appropriate, by in Enforcement Officer appointed by the Council.
27. NOTICES - Any notice, order, or document which is required by this Bylaw to be served or given or sent to any person shall be deemed to have been duly served, given, or sent if delivered to such a person or left at his or her residence or workplace or posted to such a person at his or her last known address.
28. OFFENCES - Any person who does or omits, or causes to be done or omitted any act, matter, or thing, or who causes or knowingly permits or suffers any condition or things to exist contrary to any provision contained in this Bylaw shall be deemed to have committed a breach of such provision, and shall be liable accordingly.
29. PENALTIES - Every person who commits a breach of any of the provisions of this Bylaw shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500), and where the breach is a continuing one to a further fine not exceeding Fifty Dollars ($50) for every day on which the breach has continued.
30. POWER TO AMEND SCHEDULES BY RESOLUTION - Council may from time to time by resolution, substitute, or make additions, or alterations to any Schedule or Traffic Map of this Bylaw.
