PROPOSAL TO CLOSE ROADS TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
DRIVE NEW ZEALAND CLASSIC
In accordance with the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that the Otorohanga District Council, for the purpose of allowing Drive NZ to hold the Drive NZ Classic motoring event, proposes to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder:
FRIDAY 23 OCTOBER 2009
MAIHIIHI ROAD - from its intersection with Paewhenua Road to its intersection with Mangatutu Road
MANGATUTU ROAD – entire length
Includes intersections with Pukemapou Road (no exit), Millard Road (no exit), Wall Road (no exit), Grice Road (no exit), and Pamotumotu Road (no exit)
WHAREPUHUNGA ROAD – from its intersection with Mangatutu to its intersection with Happy Valley Road
HAPPY VALLEY ROAD – entire length
Includes intersection with Cottle Road (no exit)
Period of Closure: 1.30pm to 3.00pm
This proposal includes 100 metres of each adjoining road from where it intersects with the road being closed.
Persons will be allowed through in the event of an emergency
Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and grounds thereof in writing by 4.00pm Monday, 13 July 2009 at the offices of the Otorohanga District Council, Maniapoto Street, Otorohanga.

CLOSURE OF ROADS TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
2009 DUNLOP
In accordance with the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that the Otorohanga District Council, for the purpose of allowing Club Targa Inc to hold the 2009 Dunlop Targa motoring event, will close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder:
MONDAY, 26 OCTOBER 2009
Stage - Aotearoa
AOTEAROA ROAD – starting from the district boundary to its intersection with Kahorekau Road.
Includes intersections with Aotearoa Pa (no exit).
KAHOREKAU ROAD – starting from its intersection with Aotearoa Road, to finish at its intersection with Waipapa Road.
Period of Closure: 12.45pm to 5.15pm
Stage – Mangare Road
PUKEWHAU ROAD – starting from its intersection with Waipapa Road to its intersection with Mangare and Huirimu Roads.
MANGARE ROAD – starting from its intersection with Pukewhau and Huirimu Roads to the district boundary.
Period of Closure: 1.00pm to 5.30pm
TUESDAY, 27 OCTOBER 2009
Stage - Waitomo
WAITOMO VALLEY ROAD – starting from the district boundary to its intersection with Haurua Road.
HAURUA ROAD – starting from its intersection with Waitomo Valley Road to the district boundary.
Period of Closure: 12.00 noon to 4.30pm
Stage - Kawhia Harbour
HARBOUR ROAD – starting from its intersection with Hauturu Road to the district boundary.
Includes intersections with Rakaunui Road (no exit), Whenuaapo Road (no exit), Waipuna Road (no exit) and Owhiro Road (no exit).
Affects Hikuparea Road (no exit) and Brown Road (no exit).
Period of Closure: 1.00pm to 5.30pm
This proposal includes 100 metres of each adjoining road from where it intersects with the road being closed.
Persons will be allowed through in the event of an emergency.
It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person, otherwise than under authority of an authorised permit, to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Period of Closure: 5.45pm to 8.45pm
MANIAPOTO STREET / SH3 – from outside Kiwitown Liquor Centre to its intersection with Te Kanawa Street / SH31. Includes intersections with Ballance and Tuhoro Streets.
Period of Closure: from commencement of the Parade to immediately at the completion of the Parade – apx 7.00pm to 8.00pm
Carols by Candlelight
MANIAPOTO STREET / SH3 – from its intersection with Ballance Street to its intersection with Tuhoro Street.
Period of Closure: 8.45pm to 9.45pm
Detour will be by way of: Kakamutu Road, Turongo Street and Te Kanawa Street/SH31 OR Huiputea Drive.
Persons will be allowed through in the event of an emergency

WILLIAM STREET – entire length
HINEWAI STREET – from its intersection with William Street to its intersection with Te Kawa Street
TE KAWA STREET – from its intersection with Hinewai Street to its intersection with Kakamutu Road
Period of Closure: 8.00am to 4.30pm
Detour will be by way of: Gradara Avenue, Domain Drive and Alex Telfer Drive; AND Haerehuka Street, Bledisloe Avenue and Hinewai Street.
