WAIHARAKEKE BRIDGE OPENS
Otorohanga and Waitomo District Councils hereby advise that Waiharakeke Bridge will e open for all traffic as from:
Tuesday 3 June 2008
Both Councils thank the public for their patience during the enforced closure of the bridge for maintenance and repairs.

PROPOSAL TO CLOSE ROADS TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
RALLY NZ
In accordance with the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that the Otorohanga District Council, for the purpose of allowing Rally NZ to hold the New Zealand round of the FIA World Rally Championship, proposes to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic for the periods indicated hereunder:
Tuesday, 26 August 2008 - Reconnaissance
TE RAUAMOA ROAD - from its intersection with State Highway 31 to its intersection with Okupata Road.
PIRONGIA WEST ROAD - from the eastern intersection with Okupata Road, to the western intersection with Okupata Road.
Period of Proposed Closure: 10.15am to 3.00pm
KAIMANGO ROAD - from its intersection with State Highway 31 to its intersection with Hauturu Road. Includes intersection with Honikiwi Road.
HAUTURU ROAD - from the intersection with Kaimango Road, to the District Council boundary.
Period of Proposed Closure: 7.45am to 1.30pm
Friday 29 August 2008 - Rally
TE RAUAMOA ROAD - from its intersection with State Highway 31 to its intersection with Okupata Road.
PIRONGIA WEST ROAD - from the eastern intersection with Okupata Road, to the western intersection with Okupata Road.
Period of Proposed Closure: 7.00am to 5.00pm
KAIMANGO ROAD - from its intersection with State Highway 31 to its intersection with Hauturu Road. Includes intersection with Honikiwi Road.
HAUTURU ROAD - from the intersection with Kaimango Road, to the District Council boundary.
Period of Proposed Closure: 8.30am to 6.00pm
This proposal includes 100 metres of each adjoining road, from where it intersects with the road being closed.
Persons will be allowed through in the event of an emergency
Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and grounds thereof in writing before 4.00pm Friday 6 June 2008 at the offices of the Otorohanga District Council, 17 Maniapoto Street, Otorohanga.
