Airless Aotea

KM Beal from Aotea raises an interesting situation in regard to ODC's new $32,000 airconditioner.
Aotea Beach has about lkm of dirt road and 400m of tarsealed road. In the dry summer months we have a critical dust situation, which is not only affecting the quality of our water but also the health of residents suffering from breathing difficulties.
I have approached our councillor, who, typically for a politician, now not needing to scrounge for votes, is not interested. In fact the comment made to me by our councillor was that dust in country areas is something we have to put up with, as she does! I wonder does she have 260 vehicles passing her door in three days, each raising a bucket of dust, and having little or no regard for the residents.
In addition to wasted money on the airconditioner, our esteemed council has this weekend retarsealed the 400m of already tarsealed road!
I suppose they would have 20 vehicles using that part of the township in three days.
I wonder if ODC can justify that expense.
