How this service is provided:
The Otorohanga Memorial Pool Complex is situated on the corner of Domain Drive and Kakamutu Road and consists of a 33.5m cold outdoor pool and toddlers pool, a 20m indoor heated pool and gymnasium facilities. The outdoor pools are open from early December until mid-March while the heated pool is open all year round, seven days per week.
The complex is managed for Council by Total Leisure Concepts and offers a range of recreational activities on a user pays basis.
Changing rooms, showers and toilets are provided, and pool water is regularly tested to ensure that appropriate water quality standards are maintained.
Cost
The pool complex costs Otorohanga community ratepayers $139 per year and Kawhia community ratepayers $14 per year while rural ratepayers pay $67 per year, in addition to the entry charges which can be found in the Fees and Charges section
